Sahwa Net- Forces of the Yemeni regime launched strikes on some villages of Arhab, killing 13 persons including children and wounded 40 others in incessant attacks, local sources said.
The sources affirmed that the Yemeni regime used air forces following an inflammatory address delivered by President Ali Abdullah Saleh before troops of a camp commanded by his son, Ahmed, last week.
Eyewitnesses affirmed that the attacks resulted in destruction of many houses and properties, forcing dozens of families to displace.
Civilians have appealed for help in rescuing wounded civilians, indicating that many houses, farms and other properties were destroyed.
The sources affirmed that Republican Guards led by Ahmed Ali Saleh, son of Yemen president, intensified its attacks against Arhab villages, following the issuing of the UN Security Council Resolution 2014 on Yemen.
The Yemeni regime began its attacks against some villages of Arhab, using air-fighters, missiles, artillery and other heavy weaponry as most tribesmen of Arhab announced their support for the Yemeni revolution.
