Sahwa Net- Hundreds of thousands of Yemenis took into street on Wednesday demanding to form an interim council and refusing a GCC-mediated initiative to defuse Yemen’s political ands security dilemma.
They raised slogans denouncing what they said crimes committed by the Republican Guard and the Central Security against peaceful protests.
They further demanded to prosecute the security director of Taiz Abdullh Qairan, commander of the Republican Guard in Taiz Murad Al-Awbali and the commander of Khalid Bin Al-Waleed camp, Jubran Al-Hashidi.
Ali Abdullah Saleh, the country's president of nearly 33 years, is in neighboring Saudi Arabia for treatment from wounds he suffered in a rocket attack on his compound in Sanaa.
For months, youth-led protesters have tried to drive out Saleh peacefully; however, he reused to sign a number of GCC-initiatives to transfer power peacefully.
