Tribal leader: Yemen's security services coordinate with Al-Qaeda

18/1/2012 - – A tribal leader of Rada'a and brother of Al-Qaeda leader accused the Yemeni National Security headed by Amar Mohmmad Abdullah Saleh and the former interior Minster, Mutahar Rashad Almasry, of cooperating with Al-Qaeda to submit Rada'a.

Sheikh Khalid Al-Dhahab whose brother, Tariq led Al-Qaeda militants to capture Rada'a, some 150 Kilometers southeast of Sana'a, affirmed that Tariq was supported by the outgoing President Ali Abdullah Saleh.

In comments to Suhuil TV, Khalid revealed that his brother held several meeting with Yemen's National Security, pointing out that Tariq personally told him about his coordination with the regime.  

He emphasized that the authorities are not serious to arrest his brother and that he previously offered the regime to surrender Tariq, but his offer was rejected.

Meanwhile, trial leaders of Baidha governorate held on Wednesday a meeting in which they affirmed their readiness to defended their governorate and stand against Al-Qaeda.  

Local sources revealed that Adel Almasry, a relative of the former interior minister, Mutahar Almasri, of submitting Rada'a to the militants and releasing all the inmates of the central jail, pointing out that a brother of the minister was imprisoned in this jail.
