Tribal leader calls for meeting demands of southerners

25/1/2012 - – The tribal leader of the most Yemeni powerful tribe, Hashid, urged the Yemeni authorities to meet the demands and grieves of southerners, stressing  that they are legal and valid.

In his meeting with the Germany Ambassador to Yemen, Holger Green, Sadeq Al-Ahmar who became among the most vocal opponent of the regime, stressed that Yemen needs new leadership that could consolidate stability and security, and  eliminate poverty and unemployment.   

He further emphasized that Yemen's early presidential elections would be held on time, indicating that they would be successful and fruitful .

For his part, Green said that after the leave of the outgoing President Ali Abdullah Saleh, political and security situations would be better , pointing out that Yemen is under the eye of the global world.
