National Council decries assassination attempt against information Minister

1/2/2012 - - The National Council of Peaceful Revolution Forces has condemned the assassination attempt against the information Minister Ali Al-Amrani on Tuesday.

It accused what he said elements that try to raise chaos and distrust holding the early presidential elections.

The council further called the Yemeni people to positively take part in the elections, pointing out that the election is an important step to create a civil state that respects law and order, and equal citizenship.

The Yemeni Information Minister Alamrani escaped on Tuesday an assassination attempt as gunmen shot fire on his car.

Sources told that while the minister was leaving the cabinet, gunmen positioned close to the Sana'a Radio shot fire, pointing out that he was not affected.

Yemeni analysts said this case was sparked by aides of the outgoing President Saleh, affirming that they have plans to raise turbulence and chaos with the aim of disturbing the presidential elections due to be held on February 21.
