–Secretary-General of the Yemeni Opposition Party, Yaseen Saeed Noaman, said
the Yemeni revolution could turn Yemen to a new stage in its history.
He praised the large turnout of
Yemenis in the elections, stressing that this revolution regained the glow of
previous Yemeni revolutions, September and October.
Yemenis went to the polls Tuesday to
elect a new president: current Vice President Abed Rabbo Mansour al-Hadi, the
only candidate on the ballot.
Hadi will succeed Ali Abdullah Saleh,
whose ouster was part of a Gulf States-backed agreement.
