GCC
praises success of Yemen's elections

The Gulf Cooperation Council praised the success of Yemen's early presidential elections held on
Tuesday, pointing out that the elections promise to the return of security and stability
in Yemen.
A GCC mission had observed some
election stations and lauded the high turnout of voters who turned out in
unexpectedly large numbers on February 21 to mark a formal end to the
33-year-rule of Saleh.
The United States, the European
Union, the United Nations, Russia, Spain , the GCC states and other countries congratulated on Wednesday the
people of Yemen on the current successful presidential election.
