Alsahwah.net-Yemen Vice President launched on Tuesday the early presidential elections, delivering a speech to the Yemeni people.
In an inauguration ceremony attended by leaders of Yemeni parties, officials and foreign diplomats, Hadi said the inauguration of this campaign is the first step to the stable and secure future of Yemen.
"Despite these elections were consensually agreed, we should consider them a leap forward and a project to save the country" Hadi said. "Yemen passed the most difficult stage…., but we should not expect that the land is paved and furnished with flowers."
He cited that the Yemeni people suffered much, praising the efforts exerted by some countries and their ambassadors to take Yemen out of its crisis and stalemates.
Under the GCC deal, Hadi is the consensus candidate of major parties in a presidential elections scheduled for February.
After the elections, as GCC deal states, Hadi will oversee national dialogue to consider proposals for constitutional reforms that include replacing the presidential system with a multi-party parliamentary system.
