The Attorney General Ali Al-Awash has referred a complaint filed by officers
and soldiers of the Air Forces against their outgoing commander Mohammad Saleh
Al-Ahmar to the Department of the Military Judiciary.
A
spokesman of the Air Forces Officer, Abdul-Rahman Al-Hilali, regarded the
reference as a good step.
Officers
and soldiers of the Air Forces filed on Saturday a memo of charges to the
Attorney General in which they demanded to arrest the dismissed commander of
the Air Forces and prosecute him on charges of refusing presidential decrees
and looting stocks of the Air Forces.
Sources
of the Air Forces revealed that the memo included detailed information about
looting weapons from Al-Dailami Air Base by armed men affiliated to the
dismissed commander, Mohammad Saleh Al-Ahmar, who is a half-brother of the
former president Ali Abdullah Saleh.
President
Abdu Rabo Mansour Hadi
issued two weeks ago a presidential decree under it he dismissed Al-Ahmar who
is a half-brother of the former president Ali Abdullah Saleh, but Al-Ahmar still
refuses the decree.
