Forces Mohammad Saleh Al-Ahmar stepped down on Tuesday after more than two
weeks of rebellion against decrees of President Abdu Rabo Mansour Hadi.
With the attendance of the UN Envoy
Jamal Benomar, Al-Ahmar handed over the command to Rashid Al-Janad at the
headquarters of the Air Forces.

Al-Shadadi received the command of the air police as a successor of
Abdul-Rahman Al-Kibsi.
Al-Ahmar was sacked on 6 April from
the post he had held for nearly three decades as part of a restructuring of the
armed forces.
