Alsahwah.net - Commander of the Air Forces Mohammad Saleh Al-Ahmar stepped down on Tuesday after more than two weeks of rebellion against decrees of President Abdu Rabo Mansour Hadi.

With the attendance of the UN Envoy Jamal Benomar, Al-Ahmar handed over the command to Rashid Al-Janad at the headquarters of the Air Forces.

Commander of the Air Forces Mujahid Al-Shadadi received the command of the air police as a successor of Abdul-Rahman Al-Kibsi.

Al-Ahmar was sacked on 6 April from the post he had held for nearly three decades as part of a restructuring of the armed forces.
