Benomar leaves Sana'a without progress

Alsahwah.net- UN Envoy Jamal Benomar left the Yemeni capital Sana'a on Sunday without making progress toward the end of a military rebellion carried out by officers loyal to Saleh against a decreeissued by President Abdu Rabo Mansour Hadi.

It is set that Benomar will present a report about Yemen's situation and implementation of the GCC power transfer and the UN Security Council 2014 next Tuesday.  

The 3rd Republican Guard Brigade positioned in mountains the capital Sana'a witnesses a rebellion led by Abdul-Hameed Maqwlah who is from Sanhan, the birthplace of Saleh.

Media sources said Benomar held meetings with Yemeni officials, pointing out that his efforts failed to reach a solution about the 3rd brigade.

The sources said Benomar met with Hadi, Saleh and his son, Ahmed, who leads the Republican Guard, pointing out that two of Benomar's assistants will stay in Yemen to follow op the updates.
