Alsahwah.net-About 20 Al-Qaeda militants
and seven troops were killed on Wednesday during violent clashes between the
Yemeni army and Ansar Al-Sharia, an al-Qaeda-linked group in Abyan governorate,
the correspondent of Alsahwah.net said.
He affirmed that the army impose
tight siege on Al-Qaeda in Jaar town, a main stronghold of the terrorist group.
Air-fighters launched strikes on an
Al-Qaeda tel-communication centre in Shuqra, killing at least three al-Qaeda
operatives and wounding six others, local sources affirmed.
Local sources said that the army
attempts to advance to the heart of the town from the northern and western
fronts.
