Governorate have said that over 2000 landmines implanted by Al-Qaeda militants were
rooted up from A byan governorate.

stressing that he will dobest to help the
internally displaced persons to return to their homes.
According to Yemeni officials, landmines
which the jihadists laid in Abyan before fleeing have in the past 10 days
killed 27 people in the provincial capital Zinjibar and eight more on the
outskirts of the town of Jaar.
Abyan governorate witnessed violent
clashes between the Yemeni army and Al-Qaeda militants who were dislodged from
Abyan.
