ِِAlsahwah.net- Yemeni soldiers who joined the Yemeni
revolution kidnapped on Thursday commander of the 62nd Republican
Guard Brigade, Murad Al-Awbaly, and transferred him to an unknown place, local
sources said.
The sources said the soldiers kidnapped
Al-Awbali in Khawlan, an outskirt of the capital Sana'a, in protest at
suspension of their salaries since three months.
The sources said that the soldiers
will release al-Awbali when their salaries are released.
They said that the soldiers joined
the revolution after they refused to take part in the crackdown conducted
against the peaceful youth revolution last year.
Al-Awbali is accused of committing
crimes against protesters in in the southern province of Taiz. Taiz protesters
demonstrated repeatedly, demanding to hold al-Awbali accountable.
