Alsahwah.net- A Spokesman of the Military Committee Ali Saeed Obaid has revealed about a government plan to dry up sources of support to Al-Qaeda in some Yemeni governorates including Abyan, Shabwa, Marib and Al-Jawf.

Obaid affirmed that the Defense Ministry approved dispatching new military reinforcements to take party in the current offensives  against Ansar Al-Sharia, an al-Qaeda-linked group.

He affirmed that government teams were tasked to root up landmines planted by Al-Qaeda in those areas that witnessed clashes in Abyan and Shabwa.
