Government's plan to dry up sources of Al-Qaeda support

Alsahwah.net- A Spokesman of the Military Committee Ali
Saeed Obaid has revealed about a government plan to dry up sources of support
to Al-Qaeda in some Yemeni governorates including Abyan, Shabwa, Marib and
Al-Jawf.
Obaid
affirmed that the Defense Ministry approved dispatching new military reinforcements
to take party in the current offensives against Ansar Al-Sharia, an al-Qaeda-linked
group.
He
affirmed that government teams were tasked to root up landmines planted by
Al-Qaeda in those areas that witnessed clashes in Abyan and Shabwa.
He said that Al-Qaeda militants
escaped to some remote districts and villages of those areas bordered to Abyan.
