Assistant Secretary of Treasury conducts talks with Yemen

A meeting co-chaired by Minster o Planning and International Cooperation and US
Assistant Secretary of Treasury Charles Collyns was held on Wednesday in Sana'a.
According
to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba Collyns announced Wednesday his country's
absolute support for the establishment of an international multi-donor fund to
finance development projects in Yemen.
He further
affirmed the U.S. government will
provide all aspects of necessary support to promote the progress in the path of
political settlement in Yemen, pointing out that U.S. efforts are being made in
this direction by stimulating all donors for Yemen to contribute to the
establishment of the Fund.
For his
part, Minister of Finance Sakhr al-Wajeeh briefed the U.S. official on the
nature of the procedures and measures taken by Finance Ministry to rationalize
the government spending.
