Alsahwah.net-Yemen security forces
killed on Wednesday a top wanted person, Sharaf Mahfooz during clashes between
the forces and armed men of the Southern Movement.
Violent clashes broke out on
Wednesday morning as armed men shot fire and that pushed armored vehicles
respond to that, local sources said.
Security services had posted a list of
27 wanted persons in late May, asserting that they will hunt them and bring
them to justice.
Tensions erupted three weeks ago
between security forces and supporters of the Southern Movement in which three persons
were killed and 40 others including 10 soldiers were wounded.
Aden Online reported that Mahfooz had
ties with the former southern president Ali Salem Al-Beidh, posting photos of
the two persons while sitting together in Lebanon.
"Mahfooz
along with a number of other southern leaders went to receive training in
military and media fields in Beirut, and hold meetings with Al-Beidh during the
few past months" it added.
