Government demands to prosecute leader of GPC

Alsahwah.net-Yemen's government sent a memorandum to the Yemeni parliament in which it demanded it to revoke the immunity of Mohammad Al-Shaif in order to try him.

Al-Shaif who is a tribal leader insulted on a Wednesday session of parliament Prime Minister Mohammad Salem Basindwa and threatened the Finance Minister with beating.

He said that Basindwa is not Yemeni and dubbed the Yemeni misters as toys, saying that he does not recognize the current interim government.

Most members of Yemen's parliament withdrew from a Wednesday session in protest at insulting Basindwa and Al-Wajih.

Members of parliament expressed sorrow about insults used by Al-Shaif, pointing out that some sides seek to break down reconciliation reached by Yemenis and ignite conflict.
