Alsahwah.net- Ministers and senior
leaders of the General People Congress
led by Ali Abdullah Saleh have demanded to dismiss him from the party's presidency,
pointing out that his dismissal would be in the favor of the party, AKhabar
Alyawam Newspaper said on Sunday.
Akhbar Alyawam said the GPC leaders
expressed their solidarity with Dr. Abdul-Karim Al-Iryani who threatened to
step down the party in the wake of disagreements with Saleh.
The newspaper said that efforts are
exerted to persuade Al-Iriany to change mind about resignation and return to
the country.
It indicated that GPC leaders attempt
to reconstruct the GPC and put pressures on Al-Iriani to continue his efforts
to reform the party.
