Nearly 117 protesters detained in intelligence custodies

Alsahwah.net- A Yemeni minister has affirmed that 177 revolutionaries are detained in custodies of the intelligence services.

Human Rights Minister Huriah Mashhour has called to cooperate with the committee that will be formed to investigate facts about Yemen's updates in Yemen.

Mashhour demanded to not obstruct the work of the committee that is tasked by  the High UN High Commissioner for Human Rights.

A Yemeni rights group, Hood, has revealed that protesters who were detained during the event of the last year are tortured inside underground jails of the Republican Guard and the military intelligence.

In remarks to Aljazeera, an official of Hood, Abdul-Rahman Barman, affirmed that Hood has confirmed information that a large number of protesters along with soldiers who declared their support to the revolution are detained inside covert custodies of the National Security.

Barman said that Hood managed to have information about some locations of underground jails urn by the Republican Guard, the Central Security and the National Security.

Interior Minister Abdul-Qader has ordered to release all detainees who were arrested owing to their participation in the revolution and shut down all illegal custodies.

Human rights activists said that the orders of the minister will not be carried out, attributing that to the division inside security and military forces.
