Alsahwah.net- A prominent lawmaker, Abdul-Azeez
Jubari, has called president Abdu Rabo Mansour Hadi and the interim government
to take practical measures to end Iranian interventions, calling all Yemenis to
stand against such interventions.
The Yemeni government has endorsed
taking tight measures to end Iranian intervention in the state, particularly
the support of armed groups to carry out sabotage acts and attempts to hamper
the political settlement, well-informed sources said.
State sources told the Emirati
Al-Khaleej newspaper that in case investigations proved the Iranian Ambassador
to Sana'a was involved in supporting the Iranian espionage ring arrested by the
Yemeni authorities last week, he would be officially asked to leave the state.
Meanwhile, sources of the General
People Congress led by Saleh told Alarabiya Net that the former president Ali
Abdullah Saleh has conducted contacts with the leader of the Houthi group
Abdul-Malik al-Houthi during the past two days,.
A leader of the GPC told Alarbiya Net
that Saleh called to open a new page with the Houthi group, holding his new
foe, the defected general Ali Mohsin responsible for the six wars with the
group.
He further revealed about profound
differences between two wings inside the GPC, pointing out that the wing led by
Abdul-Karim al-Iryani seeks to reconstruct the party, but Saleh resist any
reforms.
Saleh received last week
Secretary-General of the Popular Forces Uniion Mohammad Al-Mutawkil, a
politician close to the Houthi group.
Media reports have stated that Saleh
family met the Iranian Ambassador to Sana'a amid orientation of the family to
develop cooperation at various levels.
The sources told Nashwan News that
several meetings have been held between one of Saleh's family and the Iranian
ambassador, pointing out that Saleh's family seeks to convince the Iranians to
contact Russia and China to support its attitudes in the UN Security Council.
Media sources have stated that Iran
increased its recent activities in Yemen through supporting the rebellious
movements and fundamental political individual and forces.
The New York Times Newspaper reported
that Iran increased its political outreach and arms shipments to rebels and
other political figures in Yemen as part of what American military and
intelligence officials say a widening Iranian effort to extend its influence
across the greater Middle East.
