FF condemns violations committed against journalists

Alsahwah.net- Freedom Foundation for media freedom, rights and development (FF) has condemned violations committed against journalists and media practitioners in Yemen.

 

FF also decried repressive polices adopted against media outlets, pointing out that these policies will have dire consequences against journalists and media practitioners, despite of political change witnessed in Yemen.

 

FF  strongly condemned the arrest of two cameramen of the Arab Agency (AAM) for Media, Ali Abdullah Khalid and Abdul-Rahman al-Khalid.

 

"The two cameramen were arrested by guards of Sana'a Radio during their coverage of the blast that targeted the Defense Minister in front of the Cabinet and Sana'a Radio, and their cameras and video cassettes were confiscated." it stated.

 

FF demanded to put and end infringements, risks, threats  practiced against media journalists and media pardoners in Yemen.  

 

It expressed its solidarity with all workers of the Arab Agency for Media, pointing out that one of its cameraman , Hassan Al-Wadhaf was killed  last year while he was covering a demonstrations in Sana'a.
