Escorts of commander kills two policemen in Sana'a

Alsahwah.net- Escorts of a high-ranking
commander of the Republican Guards, Murad Al-Awbali, killed on Saturday two policemen and wounded another
one in Dar Salm areas of the capital Sana'a.
The source said that al-Awbali refused
allowing the policemen to inspect his convoy.
The source that the escorts of
al-Awbali returned to the checkpoint in Dar Salm, shot fire at the policemen,
took their bodies and thrown them in a remote area.
A tribal mediation managed on July to
set free Al-Awbali, commander of the 62nd Republican Guard Brigade, Brigadier who
was captured for ten days ago by angry soldiers from Khawlan tribe.
Al-Awbali, a loyalist to former
president Ali Abdullah Saleh and his son Ahmed, is accused of committing crimes
against protesters in the southern province of Taiz. Taiz protesters
demonstrated repeatedly, demanding to hold al-Awbali accountable.
He was appointed by Ahmed Saleh as a
commander of the 62 brigade by after the protests calling for his arrest and
prosecutions increased.
