Tribesmen sell two Finns, one Austrian to Al-Qaeda

15/1/2013 - Finns and one Austrian who were kidnapped by tribesmen in Sana'a were sold to Al-Qaeda, a Yemeni official said on Tuesday.

The three Westerners were adducted on December 21 in the capital Sana'a with the aim of having ransom as Yemeni official said then.

The Yemeni official said that the three Westerners were sold to Al-Qaeda Al-Baidha governorate.

A number of foreigners including a Saudi diplomat and a Swiss nationals are still held by Ansar al-Shariah, an al-Qaeda-linked group, in Abyan.
