Al-Qaeda prisoners transferred from Aden to Sana'a

17/1/2013 - A military jet transferred on Wednesday a number of al-Qaeda imprisoned detainees from Aden to Sana'a to prosecute them.

Security sources said that nine al-Qaeda members will be prosecuted in court in Sana'a specialized in terrorism cases.

 Some al-Qaeda members escaped to  Aden and other governorates after they were defeated in Abyan and Shabwah in the middle of the last year.

Security forces raided on Monday a terrorist Sana'a at Jadir areas of the capital Sana'a and arrested two Al-Qaeda operatives.

The state news agency, Saba, affirmed that Al-Qaeda used the hideout located in the north of the capital Sana'a in making bombs.

It said that the security forces found explosive belts, mines, ammunitions and other arms.

Security sources have stated that dozens of Al-Qaeda suspects were arrested during the past tow months in security campaigns conducted by Yemeni forces in nine Yemeni governorates.
