Another key member of the de facto governing authority of allied rebels in Sana'a has defected to the side of the government, after the leadership of his camp headed by the former President Ali Saleh broke alliance with Houthis and sparked an infighting between the former allies.
Qasem al-Kasadi the deputy chairman of the Political Council that consisted of Houthis and supporters of Saleh has switched to the government's side after Saleh was killed in December 4 for swapping sides.
Al-Kasadi is said to have fled to his home district of al-Zaher in the central Yemen province of Beidha where he joined the pro-govenrment popular force resisting the Houthi rebels.
