Al-Maliki said that Saudi Royal Air Defense forces intercepted and destroyed the ballistic missile, resulting in the sprinkling of the missile's fragments on residential areas in Jazan, killing one Yemeni resident and injuring 11 civilians.
He said the missile was fired at the city (Jazan) and deliberately targeting residential areas and populated areas, which represents a direct attack on civilian objects and civilians and an explicit violation of international humanitarian law, including Article 51 and Article 52.
