Trade unions and civil soceity organizations have staged their own rally in Yemen’s besiged city of Taiz against the Houthi six year war and crimes that devastated Yemen and brought upon its people the worst humanitarian crisis in the world.
The Coordination Council of Trade Unions and CSOs organized the rally in front of the governor’s office to appeal to the international community “to save the Yemeni people from the war that Houthis ignited in service of the Iranian agenda” in the country.
In a statement, the protesters support the US administration’s designation of Houthis as a terrorist organization and condemned “those who are still blind to see Houthi crimes, whether countries, international organziations or indivduals including the UN special envoy to Yemen.”
“Aren’t all these crimes committed by the Houthi militia not enough to designate them as terrorists?” read the statement.
The protesters called on the international community epecially the UN to listen to the demands of the Yemeni people or they risk becoming accomplices in the Houthi crimes against the Yemeni people.
