Twenty Houthi militants killed on Red Sea's coasts


The Arab Coalition on Monday killed twenty fighters of the Houthis and ousted President Ali Abdullah Saleh in the governorate of al-Hudeidah, military sources told Alsahwah Net.

According to AFP, clashes on Monday renewed in Midi and Mocha in the north and south of al-Hudeidah respectively days after the Yemeni army took over the area.

The Yemeni army backed by the Arab coalition took over Mocha last month in wake of violent confrontations in which dozens of fighters were killed and wounded.

The Saudi-led Arab Coalition on Friday killed five Iranian experts along with a number of Houthis were killed in the area of Saqain, Saadah governorate

A Saudi newspaper quoted a tribal source as saying that the coalition destroyed  rocket launch bases, arm depots and military supplies in the districts of Kitaf and Haida.

The source said that dozens of the Houthis' corpses were brought to the governorate of Saadah in the past few days, pointing out that the Houthis lost hundreds of their fighters in Mocha.

Furthermore, the Yemeni army managed last month to seize Iranian-made rockets which were used by forces of the Houthis and ousted President Ali Abdullah Saleh.

Spokesman of the Popular Resistance  in Saadah Abdullah al-Shandaqi told al-Sharq al-Awsat newspaper that the Yemeni army backed by the popular resistance managed to capture weapons and other military supplies.

Warships from the US Navy have intercepted several weapons shipments sent by Iran to the Houthi rebels in Yemen.
