The Obama Administration worked in its last weeks to establish Iran's influence in the Arab region by accepting the de facto situation in Syria, Lebanon and Yemen, said the Director General of the Presidential Office Abdullah al-Alimi.
In a Tweet, he said that the former US Secretary John Kerry had designed a roadmap to establish the Iran-aligned Houthi militias' hold on power and weapons and unseat President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi under the banner of "peaceful settlement."
He said: "Had H.E President (Hadi) not held fast and strongly against the pressures of Obama Administration, rejected Kerry's plan and had there not been Saudi strong support, Yemen would have fallen in Iran's hands."
