A pilot who found himself unable to make ends meet any more for himself and his family in the capital Sana'a has best illustrated the story of how hellish life is under the Houthi-Saleh militias.
He sneaked to Marib a few days ago narrating his story of suffering and eventual escape to Yemen's safe heaven, Marib, to a multitude of media outlets and the story drew a wide interest.
"I was thinking often and often enduring for three years in the capital of darkness, hunger and disease, the capital of fake resistance, sovereignty and dignity," he said of Sana'a.
He said that "the militias, despite the abundance of cash they embezzle from all public offices and resources, withhold the salaries" of public servicemen.
"Yes, now I have decided to be a mercenary and find living," he went on in his satire of the militias that label the government and pro-government personnel as "mercenaries."
