The Arab Coalition has dispatched military reinforcements to Yemen's southeastern province of al-Mahra in the borders with Oman to improve security and guard against the smuggling of weapons to the Houthi-Saleh rebel militias.

"The reinforcements arrived in late Monday evening," a Yemeni official source told Anadolu news agency. "The Saudi forces supervise these reinforcing forces which arrived from Hadhramout," said the source.

Iran, which has a history in arming terrorist organizations has been arming the radical Shiit Islamist rebels of Houthis who, in alliance with former dictator Ali Saleh have been fighting the internationally recognized government for three years.
