Kuwait begins delivery of humanitarian pledges for Yemen

The Permanent Representative of Kuwait to the United Nations and other international organizations in Geneva, Ambassador Jamal Al-Ghunaim, said that his country will begin to hand over its humanitarian commitments to Yemen to the international humanitarian organizations concerned as of this week.

"The State of Kuwait hopes that this support will contribute to alleviating the humanitarian suffering and the shortage of humanitarian supplies facing the brotherly people in Yemen," said Al-Ghunaim.

He pointed out that "this support comes in accordance with the directives of the Emir of the State of Kuwait in the framework of the pledge made by the State of Kuwait to the donor conference for Yemen, called by the United Nations last April at the United Nations in Geneva.
