Association of Abductees Mothers has denounced the silence of local and international human rights organizations toward the crimes committed against detainees in Houthi custodies.
During a protest organized in front of the Political Security in Sana'a, it demanded the international community, particularly the United Nations, to form an independent investigation committee to probe into torture practiced against detainees.
The association affirmed that torture is still ongoing inside custodies of the Houthis and ousted President Ali Abdullah Sleh, affirming that 70 persons were murdered after being abducted.
It also cited that detainees are used as human shields, and some of them died because they were not taken to hospitals after they were subjected to brutal torture.
