New abductee dies under torture in Sana’a

Alsahwa Net- A new abductee, Ali al-Amri, has died under torture inside a Houthi prison in the capital Sana’a.
A relative of al-Amari told Alsahwa Net on Friday that a Houthi leader called his family, asked them to attend to the Military Hospital in Sana’a, and when they arrived, they were shocked with seeing al-Amri as a corpse thrown inside the hospital in inhuman way.
Moreover, Houthi militias last week murdered a young man, Mohammed Abdullah al-Shatar, after he was abducted from Anis before three months and put inside Dhamar’s central prison.
Local sources said that al-Shatar was subjected to mental and physical torture, pointing out that the Houthis tried to persuade the facility of al-Shatar that he committed suicide.
According to Yemeni human rights groups, the Houthis continue using all sorts of torture against abductees inside their prisons in Sana’a in light of international silence towards their crimes.
Yemeni and international organizations state that more than 180 persons died inside Houthi prisons.
The Abductees’ Mothers Association stated that more than 130 other abductees died under torture in different Yemeni governorates.
The association strongly denounced the torture practiced inside custodies the Houthis, affirming that the abductees are subjected to brutal mental and physical torture.
