Houthis transfer Yemeni journalists to solitary cells

Alsahwa Net- Families of the Yemeni journalists held in the Houthi-run Political Security prison have complained that “the journalists are being subjected to severe torture and mistreatment”.
They spelt out that the journalists were subjected to investigation sessions and were transferred to solitary cells.
The families affirmed that the journalists Abdul-Khaliq Amran, Tawfeeq al-Mansouri, Hassan Anab, Harith Hamid, Hisham Tarmoom, Akram al-Walidi, Hisham al-Yousfi , Esam Belghaith, Haitham al-Shihab and Salah al-Ka’edi were tortured.
They called on all local and international human rights organizations, the International Federation of Journalists, the Arab, Federation of Arab Journalists to express their solidarity of their fellow journalists and use all means to halt the torture practiced against them.
Meanwhile, the Yemeni Journalists Syndicate (YJS) has said it received reports about constant torture of the Yemeni journalists detained in the Political Security prison in Sana’a.
YJS condemned the act, demanding to immediately release the journalists and hold the perpetrators of torture accountable.
