UN Envoy arrives in Sana'a

The UN Special Envoy to Yemen Esmail Ould Cheikh Ahmed on Sunday arrived in Sana'a in an attempt to resume peace talks. 

Well-informed sources told Alsahwah Net that Ould Cheikh Ahmed arrived in Sana'a coming from Djibouti. 

The sources said that Ould Cheik was set to arrive in Sana'a last Wednesday to meet a delegation of the Houthis and ousted President Ali Abdullah Saleh, but the visit was delayed because the Houthis put conditions which were rejected by Ould Cheikh. 

They spelt out that the putschists conditioned to resume the operation of Sana'a Airport and holding a meeting with the Foreign Minister appointed by Saleh and the Houthis, but these conditions were refused. 

Ould Cheikh last wet held a meeting last week with President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi in the temporary capital of Aden, and discussed updates of Yemen's situation and ways to resume peace talks.
