STC plan to new armed rebellion in Hadhramaut

Alsahwa Net- The pro-separation Southern Transitional Council (STC) militants are preparing for a new armed rebellion in Hadhramaut, east Yemen, a Saudi daily newspaper said on Tuesday.
The Saudi Okaz daily Arabic Newspaper quoted Yemeni sources that the STC affiliated militants are holding meetings and mobilizing the public in Hadhramaut against the government.
The local news website, Al-Masdaronline said that the STC launched its anti-government activities in Hadhramaut early this month when its supporters rallied in Mukalla, capital of Hadhramaut in support to the STC armed rebellion in Aden and Abyan.
It indicated that the STC set up its own affiliated commission in Hadhramaut which is led by the first undersecretary of Hadhramaut, Umr bin Habrish and other STC affiliates.
The commission declared new upcoming rallies and other escalation activities demanding that Hadhramaut’s share of the oil sales revenues be increased from 20 percent to 50 percent.
The commission demands also construction of a new 200 Megawatt- gas power plant to meet local demands for electricity.
