Thousands rally in Socotra against southern separation rebels

Al-Sahwa Net-Thousands of the Socotra Archipelago residents rallied on Sunday in support for the President Abd Rabo Mansour Hadi towards application of the law against southern separatists.
Participants of the rally condemned the mutiny caused by the Southern Transitional Council (STC) affiliates which is supported by the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The STC gunmen have been blocking roads and besieging the state offices in Socotra for weeks.
The participants of the rally have also demanded an end to the STC rebellion in Socotra as well closed roads be reopened.
They marched throughout streets of Hadibo city and raised placards in support for the Saudi-led coalition and the governor of Socotra, Ramzy Mahroos to consolidate the state of rule under the legitimate president Hadi.
Mahroos himself took part in the march and the rally. He delivered a speech that pronounced unity of the people of Socotra against insecurity acts, renounce of violence and support to the government.
He added that the Socotri people reject anyone attempts to break their unity and jeopardize their peace and security.
The participants of the rally called on the President Hadi and the Saudi King, Salman Bin Abdulaziz to end the UAE-supported rebellion in Socotra that threatens security and stability.
