Alsahwa Net- Kuwait has renewed its support for Yemen’s legitimate government to reach a sustainable peace with the Houthis rebels in Yemen.
The Foreign Minister of Kuwait, Sheikh Ahmed Nasser Al-Subah pronounced this during his meeting with the Yemeni Foreign Minister, Mohammed Al-Hadhrami in the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference.
Al-Hadhrami highlighted during the meeting continuation of defiance by the Houthis militia to their commitment to the Stockholm agreement implementation.
He discussed the Houthis’ recent escalation in Nehm and their hindrance to the humanitarian work and restriction of movement by the UN Hodeida Mission.
In the same respect, Al-Hadhrami appreciated the Saudi efforts to the Al-Riyadh agreement implementation.
The government and an armed separation group in south Yemen signed early last November the Al-Riyadh agreement to end a separation rebellion in south Yemen.
He valued the great support that Kuwait provides to Yemen on the humanitarian side.
He said that the Kuwaiti great support to Yemen embodies true intention for resolving the Yemeni crisis.
Kuwait hosted in 2016 the Yemen peace talks between the government and the Houthis rebels.
