Houthis militia loots 48 homes in Al-Jawf

Alsahwa Net- The Houthis militia has looted over 48 homes in Al-Hazm, capital city of Al-Jawf, northeast Yemen.
The Houthis who took control of Al-Hazm early this week have been waging massive intimidation against civilians for suspected links to the legitimate government.
Following their seizure of the city, the Houthis suspended education in colleges and children schools.
They also shut down Al-Hazm Public Hospital that used to provide health service to around 600,000 people.
The civil society organizations (CSOs) released a joined statement that deplored Houthis’ abuses against the people of Al-Jawf.
They called on the humanitarian organizations to swiftly help thousands of the internally displaced persons (IDPs) that live unprecedented bad conditions.
They also deplored silence by human rights organizations and the United Nations (UN) to the ongoing two-month telecommunication cut in Al-Jawf.
They called on the Yemeni government and relevant stakeholders to promptly assess the situation in Marib that caused by the recent fighting in Al-Jawf.
They suggested formation of an emergency committee in Marib to accelerate humanitarian aid delivery to the affected people.
They warned against double-humanitarian crisis in Marib if Houthis-missile attacks continued against the city that shelters hundreds of thousands of displaced people that fled intimidation in the Houthis-held areas.
