Alsahwa Net-The Abductees’ Mothers Association appealed on Monday for release of the illegal detainees following confirmation of two inmates infected with the coronavirus in the Central Prison of Sana’a.
It said that Nooraldin Mzerya and Mohammed Wasel, two arbitrary detainees were confirmed isolated on Monday when their health deteriorated.
The association said in a statement that female relatives to the detainees live in a deep concern over safety of their relatives who have been in illegal confinement for over four years.
It demanded immediate release of the illegal detainees particularly those being detained at the Central Prison.
It demanded the UN and its envoy to Yemen and the ICRC to assume responsibility towards the cause of the illegal detainees who have been in illegal detention for years.
Several local and international organizations called last April for release of the war-related detainees to avert the spread of the COVID-19 among the inmates.
