Houthis ban food to detainees in Sana’a

Alsahwa Net- The Houthis banned on Sunday foods to the illegal detainees in Sana’a amidst the spread of the coronavirus in detention centers.

The Abductees’ Mothers Association said that it has received reports from families to the detainees being held in the Central Prison in Sana’a that complain about deprivation of the food and medicine.

Relatives to the detainees reported mistreatment that being inflicted on the detainees by placing large number of the inmates in one room while some of them had been infected with the Covid-19.

In this respect, the Sam Organization for Rights and Liberties called today for the release of the illegal detainees in the Houthis-run prisons.

It said that it received reports on seven detainees contracted the Covid-19.

It demanded the United Nations (UN) and the UN Special Envoy to Yemen to exercise pressures on the Houthis to implement agreements on the exchange of detainees that were reached last March in Jordan.
