Over 150,000 new cholera cases reported in Houthis-held areas

Alsahwa Net-Medical sources in Sana’a said that a new statistic shows that over 150,000 people have been infected with the cholera in Sana’a and other Houthis-held governorates during the past five months.
The sources which were quoted by the London-based Asharq Al-Awsat daily Newspaper said that Sana’a scored the first, followed by Ibb, Mahwit, Hajja and Dhamar respectively.
About 2,400 cholera deaths were reported during the same period in the same areas.
The sources said the rain season will worsen the cholera outbreak if no health measures have been taken.
Cholera patients suffer greatly in accessing to healthcare as medical clinics stopped receiving cases amid the spread of Covid-19.
