Alsahwa Net-Chief of the Media Department of the Islah Party, Adnan Al-Odaini denied on Thursday involvement of the party in the Libyan conflict and affirmed that the party’s sole focus is Yemen as it is illegal to operate outside the country.
“It is illegal for us to meddle in affairs of other countries or operate outside our country’s border whatever justifications were,” said Al-Odaini.
In a thread of tweets, Al-Odaini wrote on his Twitter account that the London-based Asharq Al-Awsat daily Newspaper has not respected ethical codes when fabricated the story and published untrue information about the party’s engagement in Libya.
He added that the paper does not consider the position of Saudi Arabia that supports the Islah party and collaborates with the party in the Yemen’s fighting.
He affirmed that the paper must have been aware that it quoted fabrications and attempted to sell its false story by communicating with the party’s Secretary General.
