Alsahwa Net-The Human Rights Ministry condemned on Thursday new terror attacks by the Houthis militia targeted civilians in Mareb.
It demanded the international community to act promptly to put an end to such crimes.
The Houthis militants fired on Wednesday a ballistic missile at the city center of Marib which wounded three children and one woman.
The attack also led to material loss and damaged several houses in the site.
“The use of ballistic missiles against the civilians, represents a serious escalation and violates deliberately the international law and the international humanitarian rules and undermines the UN-peace efforts and represents a war crime,” the ministry said in a statement.
It demanded the UN Special Envoy to Yemen, the UNSC, the Arab league, members of the Saudi-led coalition and the human rights organizations to document such atrocities.
For his part, the Minister of Information, Muamar Al-Eryani, said that the constant use of ballistic missile against civilians and public facilities of Marib city indicates the Houthis hold malice to Marib and its people for opposing their coup.
He said that the Houthis failed to advance into Marib despite waging several military campaigns.
“However, they return empty handed each time they mobilize forces around the city,” Al-Eryani said.
As a result, they resorted to the use of ballistic missiles targeting a city that shelters thousands of the displaced people.
He affirmed that the people of Marib managed to win the fighting against the Houthis back in 2015 and they will not surrender today to the Houthis’ new attempts.
