Governor of Saadah province Hadi Tarshan al-Waili has said that militias of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards and the Lebanese Hezbollah have largely increased in Saadah.
Tarshan affirmed that Iranian military experts give consultations to the Houthis on the ground, pointing out that some of them are specialized in industrializing explosives and missiles.
He said that some elements of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards were captured in Saadah, al-Jawaf and Aden.
The Saudi-led Arab Coalition last week killed five Iranian experts along with a number of Houthis in the area of Saqain, Saadah governorate.
A Saudi newspaper quoted a tribal source as saying that the coalition destroyed rocket launch bases, arm depots and military supplies in the districts of Kitaf and Haida.
The source said that dozens of the Houthis' corpses were brought to the governorate of Saadah in the past few days, pointing out that the Houthis lost hundreds of their fighters in Mocha.
Furthermore, the Yemeni army managed last month to seize Iranian-made rockets which were used by forces of the Houthis and ousted President Ali Abdullah Saleh.
Spokesman of the Popular Resistance in Saadah Abdullah al-Shandaqi told al-Sharq al-Awsat newspaper that the Yemeni army backed by the popular resistance managed to capture weapons and other military supplies.
Warships from the US Navy have intercepted several weapons shipments sent by Iran to the Houthi rebels in Yemen.
