The Houthis in Amran province are preparing to bury 49 corpses belonging mostly to people the terrorist organization killed earlier and relatives of these victims fear claiming their corpses, local sources said.
The militia’s “Public Prosecution” invited in a public advertisement on January 15 the relatives of the 49 slain people kept in a morgue in the northern province to come forward to collect the corpses or “they will be buried within 15 days.”
Sam Organization for Rights and Liberties said it followed the Houthi advertisement “with disdain and serious concern” and called on the UN Security Council to intervene to protect the rights of the civilians.”
Sam director Tawfeek al-Hameedi said the Houthi advertisement that they have 49 corpses is an indicator of how grave the human rights status is in Yemen and a reflective of the magnitude of Houthi aggression against civilians.” He deplored the “international unjustified silence” on the issue.
