Worshipers abandoned extremist mosques in the midst of the Friday Service in the central Yemen province of Dhamar after extremist Houthi preachers incited the congregation to join the Marib warfront against the government.
Local sources said people left many of the mosques, controlled by Houthis, in quest of more moderate mosques to observe the noon-time sermon and prayer.
The Houthi militia is accused of draining up entire villages and districts in north Yemen of young people by sacrificing them in the militia’s incessant and pyrrhic wars.
