Two experts killed while removing Houthi landmines in Hodeidah

 

Two experts have been killed while clearing landmines left by the Houthi militia in the western Yemeni governorate of Hodeidah, their employer has said.

King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center which operates the MASAM mine action program in Yemen announced on Monday that two MASAM experts Ali Rashed and Shaafal Alnazi'a had been killed while clearing landmines in Al-Akbar area in Hays district of Hodeidah governorate. The Saudi aid program renewed its call to the international community to take action to stop the Houthi militia from ubiquitious planting of landmines, whichhave led to the killing and injury of civilians in large numbers across Yemen.
